How to Open and install the new screen assembly

PLEASE NOTE: We are not liable for any hardware damages or injury caused during the installation. We recommend only competent computer engineers should install this part. We also recommend using anti-static equipment to prevent hardware damage.

Uninstalling the old top-end assembly:

Remove the base cover screws 

disconnect the battery cable 

Disconnect antenna cables from the WLAN card, the camera cable from the I/O board, and the touch panel and screen display cables from the motherboard.

Remove the screws that secure the display hinges to the palm rest assembly.

Lift and remove the palm rest assembly from the display assembly.

Slide the palm rest assembly towards you from under the hinges to release the display assembly. 

Installing the new top-end assembly:

Align the palm rest assembly on the display assembly. (lift the hinges if required)

Tighten the screws to secure the display hinges to the palm rest assembly.

Route the touch panel, display, and camera cables through the routing tabs.

Connect antenna cables to the WLAN card, the camera cable to the I/O board, and the touch panel and screen display cables to the motherboard.

Connect the battery cable to the motherboard connector

Install the base cover and insert the screws.
