Dell Battery & Parts Compatibility
How do I find the right battery for my Dell laptop?
The easiest way is to use your Dell Service Tag or the part number printed on your existing battery. You can find your Service Tag on a sticker on the underside of your laptop or by pressing Fn + F11 on some models. If you're unsure, visit our Dell Parts Procurement Centre and we'll help you track down the exact part.
What's the difference between genuine Dell batteries and compatible ones?
Genuine Dell batteries are manufactured by Dell and carry the original Dell branding and firmware. Compatible (third-party) batteries are made to the same electrical specifications but are produced by alternative manufacturers. We stock both — all batteries we sell are tested in-house before dispatch to ensure they meet performance standards.
Can I return a battery if it doesn't fit my laptop?
Yes. If a battery doesn't fit or isn't compatible with your model, you can return it within 30 days of purchase in its original, unused condition. Please see our Returns page for full details on how to arrange a return.

How long does delivery take?
We offer the following delivery options:
- UK Mainland: Next working day (order before 3pm)
- Ireland: 2–3 working days
- Isle of Man, Guernsey & Jersey: 2–4 working days

Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship to the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, Guernsey, and Jersey. For international enquiries outside these regions, please check our Shipping page or contact us directly and we'll do our best to help.
Returns & Warranty
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of purchase, provided items are returned in their original condition and packaging. Full details, including how to start a return, are on our Returns page.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — all batteries sold by Black Cat PC come with a 12-month warranty. Every battery is tested in-house before dispatch. If you experience a fault within the warranty period, please contact us and we'll arrange a replacement or refund. Other parts may carry different warranty terms; please check the individual product listing or contact us for clarification.
